This weekend on Nigerian Idol promises to fun, like the past weekends.
Congratulations to those contestants who
made it to the Top 12 stage. It was a long and perhaps hard journey but
they held on and thrived amongst the thousands that auditioned.
For the first time, we will see the Top 12 contestants perform on a
brand new stage. The stakes are higher now, so expect more tension and
contestants with an eagerness to impress.
Now sadly, because of the format of the show, it will be the end of the
road for two contestants, come next Saturday with the airing of the
result show. This means the contestants have to bring their A-game this
Sunday in order to impress the judges, audience and the viewers and
secure their votes.
At this moment, the contestants are trying hard to pick and perform
songs that absolutely fit their vocal range and texture so that they do
not make any mistakes like those evicted from the Top 30 stage. And they
are right to do so.
Also, lessons from contestants such as Debbie Rise are a good pointer
to the Top 12 that showmanship is key as it helps not only to project
their singing abilities, it will also get them the much needed crowd
support.
These contestants have the whole stage to display and they best take
advantage of this in order to relate to their audience and show
stagemanship.
If the contestants take all of these lessons as gospel and perhaps, they might see the end of the competition.
Once again, these are the Top 12 contestants with their voting numbers:
Safeeyat 502
